I have been reading again. I know what you're saying "not again", but until you get it over with, suffer. I have been dipping into my 'Maimonides Reader' by Twersky. Mostly "A Letter on Astrology'. But I'll get back to that. First I would like to go over some Thomas Paine.
Thomas Paine made two observations in his pamphlet "Common Sense" that are in fact common sense. "Common Sense" was a reason for starting the American Revolution. He observed that the first in a line of kings was usually benevolent and instituted reforms that helped the people, mostly because he came from the bottom so he understood. His son or daughter was less benevolent because they grew up in a house of priviledge and did not identify with the poor. As the line of kings progressed this problem got worse until someone else took the throne by force and the cycle repeats. An elected system of government was supposed to solve this problem. The people running the government came from the bottom and were always turning over.
He also pointed out that the English Parliament only had the appearance of freedom and representation. The Pariament has 3 branchs: the House of Lords, the House of Commons and the king or Prime Minister. They only need to control the House of Lords and the king or Prime Minister to control everything. The House of Commons only gives the appearance of fairness and freedom. I don't know if the House of Lords is elected or not but they are all rich people with ties to the monarchy. The American Constitution set up the government in exactly the same way. The Senate is the House of Lords and the House of Representatives is the House of Commons. The President is the king or Prime Minister. All anyone needs is a handful of Senators and the President to control everything. How quickly people forget.
The modern world is completely insane. Anyone who becomes aware of the satellite surveilance system will agree. This is what happens when the people at the top and the way they think never turns over. This is what happens when the human race perfects the power game. The human race has been learning how to hold power for centuries and they have a whole bag of tools to use. I think it began in Egypt. It began to run out of control when the Egyptian religious insanity crossed paths with the Roman military insanity. I think this happened when Cleopatra entered Rome and the Roman Republic fell and gave birth to the Roman Empire. I have come up with a list of tools they use. It may not be complete. 1. Religion 2. Brain Damage 3. Scare Tactics 4. Competition 5. Alchemy 6. Entertainment I wil go over each briefly. I try to keep my writing short because I know most people are brain dead and I only manage short periods without 'Purple Haze' and thus periods of being coherent. I also don't care.
Moses Maimonides lived about the year 1000 AD. He was Jewish and lived in Palestine. He is considered a great Jewish scholar. I think he was just another religious nut. He wrote a letter to someone in France titled "A Letter On Astrology'. In this letter he blames the Jewish people for the destruction of the Second Temple and the loss of Israel around the year 70 AD because they put thier trust in Astrology not thier 5 senses, reasoning and God. They did not busy themselves with the 'art of war'. As he put it. I think religion is the same thing as astrology. Any religion. It teachs people to put thier faith in God, not thier senses and reasoning, and to be like sheep. The Oligarch Collective doesn't care what religion you have as long as you have one. It's one of the first things they do to 'break you'. Like a wild stallion they put a saddle on you. Most of todays religions can be traced to ancient Egypt.
Brain damage is the foundation of western civilization. This too came from Ancient Egypt. A sick person is less likely to fight back than a healthy person. It is advantagous to the people at the top for everyone to be sick. There are many words for the sick. Gypsies, blues, hippies, jews, untouchables. One source is the metal mercury. The effects are insidious. In Buddy Guys song 'Damn Right I've Got The Blues' he says 'I went to my daughters house to use the phone', 'My little grandbaby answered the door and said "You know grand daddy that there ain't no one home". He gets sassed by his little grand daughter. Thats the blues. When we were kids we told a really stupid joke. How do you know when an elephant has been in your refrigerator? The answer is 'When there are footprints in the peanut butter'. No one is immune. Every one has a degree because of flouride in the water. Sick people have an affinity for religion. They have trouble functioning and look for answers in religion. Religion and brain damage can and is used by men for money and power.
Scare tactics are used to keep slaves in line and working hard. In todays world it must be done with restraint and in small doses. You are supposed to think you are free. To do this some people are givin a lot of brain damage and made to 'hit the road' as a rolling stone. Rolling stones gather no moss. Because moss can be a real problem. Case in point. "What would you do with a brain if you had one?" Well for one thing I never would have left home and I wouldn't be skipping down the road with some under age girl and her stupid little dog. Scare tactics motivate people to create infrastructure that helps the elite stay in power. It fuels competition. When capitalists say they like competition this is what they mean. A true capitalist loves a monopoly. Every one wants a sure thing. Herbert Hoover said "The only problem with capitalism is capitalists". This is what he meant.
Alchemy was a medievel science whose practitioners were trying to turn any metal into gold. They never accomplished this but they did however come up with the fractional reserve banking system. Money is debt and debt is money. You have an idea to pick up a mosquitos breath at 33 thousand miles! You're a genius! We'll put some zeros on the books, welcome aboard! Need anything else just call, we got plenty of zeros, the little people will never know! It was Henry Ford who said "It is well enough that the people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution by tomorrow morning". Someone once told me that FORD stood for "Found On Road Dead", but I digress.
I think it was a Roman emperor who said that he couldn't pay for 'enough bread and circus's. Keeping the useless eaters entertained is slight of hand. "Pay no attention to that manufacturing leaving your country!". The modern world is all about keeping the brain dead distracted. Music is a major part of the problem. I think some artists want to help but see the futility. Thier hands are tied. "Every artist is a canabal, every poet a thief, they kill thier inspiration and sing about the grief" Claudius Ptolemy who lived about the year 100 AD was the first to document this.
The Oligarch Collective likes to 'divide and conquer'. You have to get the proletariat to kill the proletariat for the benefit of the bourgeous. This is where war comes in. It maximises the impact and they can make money on the war machine. There will never be peace in a world run by the Pope, because it's part of the system. The useless left-right political paradigm doubles as entertainment and divide and conquer. It gives the appearance of democracy like the English Parliament.
I have identified 3 things that have failed as a means to overthrow the Oligarch Collective. Intellectualism, political ideology and religion. Protestantism is like 'fighting a system that says it's a religion but is not a religion with religion'. It's charging windmills like Don Quixote. The French Revolution is an example of how political ideology has failed. Intellectualism is surrender. Co-operation is surrender. If you're trying to write the great American novel or come up with some scientific discovery you're adding to the problem whether you know it or not. All of these are akin to asking your oppressor for bread water and breathing rights. Once you've done this you have lost. A rifle is the only thing anyone should use.
So, lets try to figure out where the buck stops. Up to the year 1800 AD every one knew what the catholic church was and knew what to expect. This was easy because some of your friends and neighbors disappeared into thier dungeons for years. There are museums in many countries where the Pope dominated that are dedicated to the torture devices they used. Since that time people have come to view him as a kindly spiritual figure. No one would suspect him of tapping peoples phones or reading thier mail. Surprise! Nothing has changed with that institution.
If you haven't got it through your thick skull yet I will re-iterate. I am not hitting the road. My mouth is my rampage and the human race can collectively go fuck itself and like it. I do not have the physical capacity to enjoy this world and I never have thanks to you. "Don't forget this fact, can't get it back, cocaine" You have maimed tortured and tormented me since I got to this world and now you want me to volunteer for the end. Power corrupts absolute power corrupts absolutely, and makes for arrogance personified. You can shoot me in broad daylight walking down the street. It's not like you're not going to get away with it.
